EnergyBet Review
They are new for 2016 and as we’ve seen elsewhere, one way to get your brand noticed in this competitive market is to tie up some sponsorship deals. EnergyBet have done just that with separate arrangements at English football clubs Leyton Orient and Aston Villa but why should you be enticed into signing up as a customer?
What else is on offer here? We took a look.
First Impressions
EnergyBet’s website is quite attractive with good graphics and colours making the text really stand out. Unfortunately one thing it does lack is functionality. To find the full list of sporting markets you need to click on the ‘sports’ button on the top line but when they do come up they seem to be in a random order.
Unless you’re betting on football, which comes up first, you may find it hard to locate your chosen event and this is perhaps an area that could be improved.
Promotions
EnergyBet have recently introduced a new customer welcome bonus worth up to 50 Euros and that will certainly help them compete with some of their contemporaries. This is a 100% match on your initial credit and it only requires a 10 Euro deposit to trigger it so the low entry level will appeal to new customers too.
There is a rollover requirement of 5 x deposit and bonus combined so, while you should check all terms and conditions, this is a fair promotion and a generous one too.
Markets and Odds
Fortunately you can find choice and value for money here where the list of markets at EnergyBet is an extensive one. The following will surely bring in some serious punters.
ESports are quoted here too but as they are still just a growing market, it might be preferable if the titles weren’t mixed in with the list of sporting options. To stay positive, the choice here is good and odds look strong in lots of areas, particularly football, both outright and side betting.
Licensing
EnergyBet give us full details of their Maltese licence at the bottom of the home page and that’s a good sign for building trust with new players. They are very open and transparent about that license and there is a further About Us page which lists the address again plus a few more details.
Banking
While there are a few areas that EnergyBet may need to work on, there are certainly no problems with funding which has one of the best ranges of eWallets among the new providers.
The obvious ones on the list are Skrill and Neteller and to that you can add Sofort, EuTeller, DotpayYandex, PaysafeCard, Trustly, Moneta and TrustPay.
Bank transfers and all the usual debit and credit cards are also catered for so there will always be choice. EnergyBet also have a dedicated payments links marked Deposit / Withdraw which confirms minimum limits and it also states that all options are free of fees.
Social Media
This appears to be a very strong area for EnergyBet and despite only going online in June 2016, they already have over 800 Twitter followers, gained in less than 6 months. Updates are frequent and have a good mix of news and offers so they have really focussed on this account and moved their brand forward.
Things aren’t quite as busy across at the Facebook page with just over 300 likes at the same point in time but again, the operator has worked hard on this and it deserves more attention.
Conclusion
There is no doubt that EnergyBet may look to work on certain areas of their operation although there are definite positives here. Those sponsorship deals help to build brand awareness and the building continues with social media which is doing very well at this early stage.
The only real downside is the lack of promotions on the sportsbook side of things. Yes, you can get some offers from the casino and you will find some excellent prices on a lot of sporting events but a little bonus here and there will make EnergyBet that much more attractive to new players.
