BetVision SportsBook Review

BetVision were launched at the start of 2015 so while they’ve had over two years to establish themselves, they are still relatively new to the world of sports betting. With so many brands enjoying a longer period online, it can be tough to compete so what have this bookmaker done in order to make their mark?

First Impressions

The holding page of the website looks very professional with striking graphics of sportspeople and prominent links to the various sections of the business. When you click on the sports link, you find a standard design and while opinions on that design will differ from person to person, most would agree that this is a functional site with everything laid out logically.

The list of available sports is on the left hand side of the page where you would expect it to be and most of this is listed in alphabetical order. Popular events are at the top and BetVision then add their current events in the middle of the page if you’re ready to take a bet.

Looks are subjective but it’s certainly an easy site to work your way around.

Promotions

One potential issue for prospective new players is the lack of any welcome deal. It can pay to look beyond that because the value is here in the markets with strong odds but the absence of an opening offer may deter a certain set of players.

There is currently a best odds guarantee scheme on all UK and Irish Horse Racing so in that sport you know that there is a promo that leads to certain value.

Markets and Odds

The benefits start to come with the set of markets which is a very extensive one. Choice is just as important to any customer and there is certainly plenty of it in the following list:

FootballChessHorse RacingGolfTennisCricketAmerican FootballBadmintonBandyBaseballBoxingBasketballBeach VolleyballCurlingCyclingDartsFloorballFutsalHandballHorse Racingice HockeyMMAMotor RacingRugby LeagueRugby UnionSnookerPoolSpeedwaySurfingTable TennisVolleyballWinter SportsGAA Sports

We’ve noticed that there have been some recent additions to that list and it’s good to see an operator adapting to demand. A good set of eSports is here too and you can also bet on politics and other specials from Reality TV and entertainment.

BetVision have yet to be picked up by the large odds comparison sites. We know that without a welcome offer the value here is going to be crucial and it appears that odds are very competitive, particularly in the most popular sports such as football, horse racing, golf and tennis.

Licensing

The licence here is issued on the Isle of Man and full details of this are shown prominently at the very bottom of the home page. This is the area where you would expect to see them and as we know, it helps a new bookie to be open and transparent about their license so this is a good sign.

Banking

One area that could be developed is the list of funding options but all of the main methods are here so you should have at least one way to access your BetVision account. Skrill and Neteller are backed up by all of the main debit and credit card providers and while this is a small roster, that covers all the important options.

It could, however, be improved upon and by having some of the smaller niches included it can widen the customer base for any new provider.

Social Media

The only Twitter account we could find for BetVision was listed as a casino although it does have the sports news and offers linked to this page. Set up in 2014, it only had 369 followers as of July 2017 and it hadn’t actually tweeted since the end of April in the same year.

Updates occur more regularly on the Facebook page although at the same point in time there were only 211 likes. Social Media can really help a new sportsbook get a foothold so BetVision could certainly look into why there isn’t more interest while considering ways to boost their follows and likes.

Conclusion

BetVision have been online for some time and there are certainly some good points to their business which should make them a tempting proposition. They are certainly aimed more towards the serious punter – the one who is prepared to look beyond the flashy welcome bonus and consider whether they are getting a good deal in terms of standard pricing.

In fact, there is no welcome promo at BetVision and that is a bit of a downside. Other areas need attention too such as the list of funding possibilities and their social media accounts which are very quiet.

However, the good news is that the two main basics are covered with great prices and a good choice of markets to bet on so there are good reasons why you should add BetVision to your portfolio of sportsbooks.
